This website has all the information you need to know about the Chinese Zodiac. Including all the 12 different signs, the meanings behind each sign and the the origin of the Chinese Zodiac.

For those of you who don't know, the Chinese Zodiac is thousands of years old and easily predates its Western counterpart. Even today, millions of believers across the globe consult the Chinese Zodiac regularly.

While Western Astrology is based upon the months of the year, Chinese Astrology is based upon a twelve year lunar cycle. Your sign is determined by the year in which you were born.

Each sign and those born under it are represented by one of twelve animals, and are ascribed a set of attributes the Chinese believe comprise the nature of each particular animal.

Of course don't forget that the Chinese new year begins between mid January to mid February, so to be completely accurate the Chinese calendar must be used to find your sign. To help I have set up a page that lists the precise beginning and end of the Chinese Years going all the way back to 1924.

One of the most interesting uses of the Chinese Zodiac is exploring the compatibility of signs. That is, which duos will make good lovers? friends? partners? The compatibility of the signs are worked out through 4 groups of 3 signs, these groups are referred to as Trines.

At the top of the page I have the links to each page that is dedicated to the 12 signs of the Chinese Zodiac. On these pages I have included a list of the years for each animal so you can discover what animal a specific year falls under.

There is a list of what is believed to be the main personality attributes for each sign. Followed by a description of what a person under each sign could possibly be like based on the characteristics of the animal they fall under.

I have a short list of famous people who come under each sign and a list of ideal jobs for anyone born under a specific sign. I then have a list of what is believed to be the lucky numbers for each sign and the equivalent western star sign.

Finally I have links at the bottom of each page. The first link is to a profile of each particular sign on the Wikipedia website and also a link to a website where you can compare the compatibility of any 2 signs.
